DJ Hightower serves the students of CSU as the Collegiate Success Coach, a role that specializes in working with students in the academic probation process, helping them get back into and remain in good academic standing.
DJ is a first-generation college student who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Fort Hays State University before spending 5-years as a Communication Officer in the United States Marine Corps. After leaving the Marines in 2020, DJ pursued a Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Denver. There he served as Student Case Manager and as a Graduate Fellow who focused on providing an inclusive and welcoming environment on campus.
For fun DJ spends lots of time outdoors with his pup Mugzy, and he loves to read fantasy novels and is even working on writing his own!
